Started our morning with a hike in the Grand Canyon. We decided on the Bright Angel Trail. We only hike a RT of 3 miles. 1.5 miles to a rest house and then 1.5 miles back up. Basically we were descending into the canyon. So, you can imagine that coming back up is quite tiring.

I think if next time when I'm back at Grand Canyon. I'd like to try and hike all the way down!

Hermit's Rest - a historic landmark. There are viewpoints all along the trail there, but didn't spend much time. I think we were pretty exhausted. Taking the shuttle bus took about an hour to get there from where we were.

At the Yavapai Geology Museum. Really cool place as it explains everything from the beginning history to all the different layers of rock found in the Grand Canyon.

This is in Flagstaff. Firecreek Coffee Co. Really nice place. Cozy atmosphere. Tons of college students since Flagstaff is home to NAU (Northern Arizona University). They have a lot of local bands playing that night. So we discovered a band that was really good! Tow'rs. Check them out! :)

This is pretty much the end to our trip. Last day was back in Phoenix. Checked out the MIM (Musical Instrument Museum). Could’ve probably spent the whole day in there! So much to see and do in that museum. So awesome. Want to go back again. And then ended our night at El Hefe on Mills Ave in Tempe. Was such an amazing trip. Now I just want to go hiking all the time! If you know any good trails or hikes around Dallas or just around the world, leave a comment! 🙂
