Arrived in LA! And the first thing we do is eat at In-n-Out! When in Cali… Even though we have it in Dallas too. Day 1 in Cali was filled with eating. We had maybe about 5 meals within the span of 4-5 hours.
2. 85 degrees C
3. Din Tai Fung
4. Boiling Point
5. Mochilato for some shaved ice
Fatty’s for life!
Next morning we got some breakfast at Bruxie’s. Waffle sandwiches! Was so delicious. And then, off we go to San Diego!
That coastline! Stopped along the way for some beachy views. Love the salty sea air~
Our first nights stay in SD was at The Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines Resort. Special thanks to Anny for the sweet hotel lodging and also for letting us stay at her place in central Irvine! “Where everything is just 10 minutes away!”
La Jolla Cove
Many seals. Be careful of the smell.
Look at that awesome backdrop of the sunset on the city!
My photographic eye caught this. Palm trees everywhere. A sign you’re in Cali.
Taking pictures of people taking pictures of sunsets.
Is this even real life?? I mean… look at the colors!
The sun has set, but the night is still young.
Stopped by for some refreshing natural gelato. Owned by a guy from Sardinia. He gave us two free espressos. Super nice guy and great quality gelato!
2nd day in SD and had to make use of the pool at the hotel before we checked out. Got some tanning in as well.
Made our way more into the city where our Airbnb was right next to Balboa Park. The guy had the sweetest cat named Syelin!
Extraordinary Desserts. This place has some amazing desserts/pastries. No wonder they’ve got over 7k reviews on Yelp!
Strawberry Shortcake and much much more.
Spent a lazy afternoon at Mission Beach.
Hot sand, chilly water
Spontaneous meet up with the best friend! We’ve talked about going to Cali together for years and we just happened to be there at the same time together without really planning anything. Perfect! Had a seafood brunch with them before we headed back to LA.
Anny and Wilson – great traveling companions! 🙂
This is Tina’s way to prove that we are indeed in Cali… palm trees.
